Notable moments[]

  • The first rule of Board Game Club is "you know Burke? I don't know which species is worse."
  • Whose gambit is going to pay off and who's going to prove themselves to be just a bunch of burks?
  • And we have a delightful ad-read from Sullivan, jam-packed with Disney references, beautiful singing and Laurie looking mildly disturbed. All the NRB fun you know and love!
  • It's Spooky Season 2023 on NRB! And already, Sullivan is trapped in a timeloop.
  • There is already laughter due to 'burke' having a double-meaning in British slang. And the evil team being called A.S.Ses.
  • Laurie: "Choose your fate, don't look at it." Jon immediately looks at it and they have to reset.
  • Dom dances the old-lady shuffle to get laid.
  • Holly is the ship's captain. "That wears the red--heavy head wears the--head that wears the cap." We're off to a strong start.
  • Dom's characterisation is perfect. He decides to go all-in as Pamela, the ship's stowaway who hid inside a barrel of mackerel. She cannot vote. Laurie: "She's full of piss, she's stinks of fish, it's Pamela!"
  • Tilly: "My technique has nothing to do with you, Pamela. Back to the mackerel tank you with!" Dom: "Oh, thank you very much!"
  • Sullivan has flashbacks to Werewords as he struggles to find his other corpo. The panic on his face is beautiful
  • The Pamela lore is strong. "I don't want to go home, I'll have to speak to Terry, my husband." And, from the distance, we get a Northern Teri! Hi Teri! "What's all this then?"
  • Tilly stores the power to instantly kill a player. Tilly to Jon: "I seem to remember you put in a work request some months ago for someone to fix your printer and you called me... a dickhead." Jon: "Well, words were said, not all of them meant!"
  • And in an act of fate and joy, Pamela has the parasite. Sometimes the story just comes together.
  • Sullivan's little giggles as he claims Holly is evil is truly delightful. "A delicious little baddie!"
  • Holly to Sullivan: "Don't look at me with your soft eyes!" Jon: "Your organic eyes!"
  • Dom: "It's not gas, is it?" Tilly: "I'm afraid it's not flatulence, Pamela." Dom: "Ah, what a relief."
  • The finale of Holly vs. Sullivan is truly beautiful. We have a mini Jon unravelling. "Looking back, I made some mistakes."
  • Laurie: "I'm going to use my character ability. My character ability is once per game, you may copy the last rolled die result." Dom: "I'm going to use my ability which is not to vote."
  • Sullivan: "I just love big ASS!" Tilly: "He's in the pocket of big ASS! He's an ASS man, get him out of here!" Jon: "You sicken me, you ASS man!"
  • Jon: "I'm just worried that Tilly's skull could come out at any point." Tilly: "Well then don't publicly accuse me, Jon!"
  • The second evil reveal is equally delicious. But in the end, Sullivan and Tilly run away with the win! Tilly: "I'm one hell of an ASS bitch.
  • They play a second game because it's fun!
  • Tilly: "In space! The one place on Earth that hasn't been corrupted by capitalism." Dom: "The one place on Earth?"
  • Sullivan checking people and claiming their evil makes a return! In this game, it's Jon vs. Dom and Sullivan.
  • Tilly shoots Sullivan because he's just too healthy.
  • The commenters know everything, and boy howdy, they will make sure everyone knows if they go wrong. Holly: "I really liked Tilly until she checked Sullivan for a second time!"
  • The evil reveal at the end is obvious but beautiful. The high-five is joyous! "I was actually corporate, you never guessed! What I great liar I was!" "I was infected... by the bug of business!"
  • And against all odds, Dom rolls a lightening bolt, forcing them into the end-game vote without knowing where the parasite is. But who will win?
  • Jon to Tilly and Sullivan: "Oh, these scum won twice! I hate it!"
