Brooke Bourgeois is a member of the No Rolls Barred family.
Brooke is the self-professed "baddest bitch in Board Game Club" and is characterised as unusual, rage-filled and erratic. In truth, as all viewers will know, she is a precious gem who must be afforded the greatest protection the universe can provide. She was the first Lord of the Board title holder (Sullivan is the current Lord of the Board).
She is infamous for answering the setups to jokes incorrectly, and only really likes films with mermaids in them. She has a relatively strange relationship with food, eating coffee beans and once buying Sullivan cooking chocolate as a treat, then eating it herself when he didn't want it. Another time, she fried a crumpet in a pan with some vegetables; she still stands by that choice. She likes mash. Brooke also has a habit of falling into toilets. As a child, her favorite games were Hot Bucket, Cold Bucket and Count to a Thousand. She had an interesting childhood, involving, as it did, swamp-dwelling friends with alligators living under their houses, and childhood trips to the legendary reptile pit on the way to Pensacola.[6]
Outside of No Rolls Barred, Brooke is a cartoonist, published in The New Yorker and Private Eye. She is a graduate of Harvard (Biology), the Royal College of Art and the Cambridge School of Art.
Brooke has now moved back to America, so it may be a long while before we see her again, at least in person.
Notable moments[]
- In Everybody Loves Puppets Brooke introduced Sock Puppet Sullivan, to replace actual Sullivan who was at the football. Sullivan's lines were funny, but it was entirely Brooke's hugely under-celebrated comic timing that sold the bit so well.
- In Let's Play 6 NIMMT, the cast discovered that Brooke had never seen Jurassic Park. Sullivan and Laurie in particular were outraged.
- In Let's Play AVALON Brooke revealed that she had fallen into toilets approximately 7 times - usually not her own. Tom asked her if she had started keeping things down there in case she found herself in need again.
- Brooke won the first Lord Of The Board tournament, and was crowned as Lord of the Board, in early 2022. For a long time afterward, she carried her custom 3D printed NRB sceptre to every Board Game Club episode and wore a crown. For a time, she was introduced in song.
- In Let's Play SAY ANYTHING II more details of Brooke's entirely normal childhood emerged. More importantly, Sullivan now claimed that Brooke has fallen into toilets 9 times. We like to think that this means she's done it again - twice - since this topic was first raised.
